Be still, my beating heart. It was a truly wonderful sight to see the beautiful Marion Maréchal-Le Pen at CPAC on Thursday morning. Times they certainly are a’changing. Could it be that Conservative Inc. is finally opening some of its doors to the forces of reaction, tradition, and paleoconservatism? Dare we hope?
It’s too early to tell, and I doubt it honestly, but either way one can appreciate Maréchal-Le Pen’s speech for the ray of reactionary light it was in an otherwise dim den of wet centrism, neoconservatism, and libertarianism.
Last year marked the 500th anniversary of one of history’s greatest calamities: the Protestant Reformation.
Perplexingly, some in Rome in their eternal wisdom (infernal wisdom, perhaps?) felt it appropriate to honor the event with pomp and circumstance and a celebratory postage stamp. Yet make no mistake: The Protestant Reformation was a tragic disaster, the terrible effects of which continue to unfold to this day.

Progressive pundits and celebrities appeared to set a new record for the speed with which they politicized a mass shooting, with some sending out pro-gun control messaging before the shooter was confirmed to be in police custody and the blood had barely begun to dry.
