Nazism is Gay

It is disconcertingly common in the online dens of the dissident right to see memes which appear to imply that Nazi Germany was somehow on the “right side of history”, to use that favourite phrase of the Left.

It is to an extent understandable, awash as we are in near unfathomable levels of degeneracy ushered in largely by the victors of that war. Images of blond youths standing proudly in immaculate uniforms, the promotion of traditional family life, and the state suppression of modern art and Leftism do indeed seem a preferable alternative to what passes for Western society today.

One must remember, however, that these things were at times quite common in the countries that fought Nazi Germany too, and one must also remember that just because the Nazis were anti-Left, it does not mean that they were properly traditionalist or reactionary. Indeed they were most certainly neither of those things (they were, however, very gay).

Revolutionary rightism and authentic reaction are not the same, and the Nazis were about as authentically reactionary as homosexuals dressed in biker gear are masculine.

The National Socialist German Homosexuals’ Party

The above analogy (h/t Mr. Wagner Clemente Soto) was not chosen at random. The extent to which the Nazi party in its early form doubled as a sort of club for homosexuals cannot be overstated.

Perhaps the most infamous of these goose-stepping gays was Ernst Röhm, an early Party member and the co-founder and leader of the Sturmabteilung (SA), the Brownshirts. But Röhm was not the only active homosexual in the Nazi Party. There was Edmund Heines, Röhm’s deputy in the SA, and Karl Ernst, an SA Gruppenführer and former bouncer at a gay nightclub.

There was also Gerhard Roßbach, described by respected historian Robert G. L. Waite as a “notorious homosexual”, who designed the SA uniforms. Then there was SS Obersturmführer Otto Rahn, an open homosexual who was punished with guard duty at Dachau after a “drunken homosexual scrape“.

And who could forget Karl-Günther Heimsoth. Heimsoth was an early party member, active homosexual activist, and author of such tracts as “Heterophile and Homophile”, “Love Between Friends or Homosexuality”, and “Character Constellation: With Particular Reference to Homosexuality”.

Then there’s old Adolf himself. To say that Hitler had homosexual tendencies is apparently the understatement of the 20th century. Writes Siobhan Pat Mulcahy, author of The Peculiar Sex Life of Adolf Hitler:

For most of his life, Hitler was predominantly homosexual. In his teens and early twenties, he had a string of “exclusive male companions”, including August Kubizek, Reinhold Hanisch, and Rudolf Hausler. He shared accommodation with these men in seedy Viennese or Munich backstreets and in “homes for the destitute”…

From the outset of the [First World] war, he enjoyed a sexual relationship with fellow dispatch-runner, Ernst Schmidt which lasted almost six years. The relationship was not exclusive, however, and Hitler is believed to have had “sexual relations with a senior officer”. US intelligence later discovered that Hitler was never promoted during WW1 because of his “sexual orientation” and that he was arrested in Munich in 1919 for “pederasty and theft”. Indeed, former Nazi, Otto Strasser said that when Hitler became Nazi Party leader in 1921, “his personal bodyguards and chauffeurs were almost exclusively homosexual”. Two of these bodyguards, Ulrich Graf and Christian Weber, were expected to satisfy their boss’s needs whenever necessary.

Then, in 1924, when Hitler was jailed for treason in Landsberg Castle, he began a love relationship with Rudolf Hess, who was nicknamed “Fraulein Anna” and “Black Emma” by other Nazis. Their sexual relationship endured for many years until Hess, who was prone to hysterics became an embarrassment to the Nazi leader.

“By the early 1930s,” writes Mulcahy, “the homosexual ethos at the top of the Nazi Party was so evident that one anti-Nazi newspaper called the political organisation ‘The Brotherhood of Poofs'”.

Fascism, etc is Gay Too

Revolutionary rightism in general seems to attract a disproportionate number of homosexuals to its ranks. A decade old article in the Huffington Post by Johann Hari details “The Strange, Strange Story of the Gay Fascists“. It examines the subject in quite some depth and, despite the usual Leftist nonsense, makes for some interesting reading.

Hari discusses homosexual fascists and neo-Nazis like France’s Edouard Pfieffer and Germany’s Michael Kuhnen, just to name a few, and reveals more details about Röhm’s sordid life than I ever cared to know.

“The twisted truth is that gay men have been at the heart of every major fascist movement that ever was,” writes Hari. “With the exception of Jean-Marie Le Pen, all the most high-profile fascists in Europe in the past thirty years have been gay,” he continues. “Fascism isn’t something that happens out there… It is – in part, at least – a gay thing”.

The Homo-fascists March On

The trend continues to this day and can be seen clearly in the American revolutionary right. Jack Donovan is homosexual, as are Counter Currents editor Greg Johnson and author James O’Meara, to name a few. Johnson and O’Meara are explicitly white nationalist and concerned with the survival of “white” civilization — an amusing sliver of irony considering the implications of their sexual deviancy.

Of course given that certain strains of revolutionary rightism are wont to worship the masculine ideal in the extreme — and are implicitly if not explicitly anti-Christian and neopagan — the high number of homosexuals in certain far-right ranks is hardly as strange or surprising as some might at first think.

Fascism. Not even once.
